In this webinar we will discuss what options are available to your clients that want to stay in their current home to “Age in Place” or “Rightsize” to a new home. The emphasis will be on how to utilize a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) to help create guaranteed tax-free retirement income.

Housing wealth is an asset that can protect a portfolio and is not tied to larger fluctuations in traditional markets! Utilizing housing wealth as a buffer can also hedge overall risk.

Over 30 years in the mortgage industry. Being one of the first to originate a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) in 1989 in RI as part of the FHA Pilot Program. Due to my extensive knowledge and expertise, I have become a familiar and respected face in the senior community.

I have served as a Board of Directors member for the Senior Agenda Coalition, the RI chapter for the Alzheimer’s Association and Meals on Wheels, and co-founded of the RI chapter of the National Aging in Place Council. In addition, I have volunteered with the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) which included being chosen to assist in the writing of the first Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP) Designation test.

I continue to support issues surrounding senior citizens by joining State and Local Issues subcommittee and lobbying at the RI State House. I've participated in numerous rallies and testified on behalf of various senior bills and issues, including on Capitol Hill in Washington. I have been published in various local and national mortgage industry publications and was chosen to attend and cover the 2005 and 2015 invitation-only White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) in Boston, MA. Due to my passion for assisting seniors, I received my Certificate in Gerontology from Roger Williams University and my RICP® Designation from The American College of Financial Services.
